Finding a Voice

This is the title for our 2012 Lent Course. It’s a new and original series of five weekly sessions using as its starting point the award-winning film The King’s Speech. For further details, click here.

Children & Young People

There are those who regard children and young people as ‘the church of tomorrow’….but not us! We try very hard to remember that they are an integral part of the church of TODAY.

We don’t claim to get it right all of the time…but that’s grown-ups for you!

On Sunday mornings we usually begin by worshipping together but then there’s a range of ‘opt-outs’ which we hope offer something for everyone, from tots to teens.

For parents with little ‘uns, there’s a crèche with an audio link to the main service; then, for youngsters of primary age, our Junior Church never fails to impress with its faith-based crafts, teaching and creativity; and then, once a month, our teenagers head for the Manse for 1066, their own discussion and fellowship group…and you’d be surprised what they talk about!

Outside of worship time, we have our Chrysalis Youth Club for 9 year-olds and upwards; Zac Pack, for children of primary age; and Boys’ Brigade.

We also provide a home for other groups involving children and young people, including Kidlington Pre-school , Caterpillar Music, Hayley Byrd Dance Tuition, and Kidlington 0-5s Group.

Jesus said we all have to become like kids if we’re ever going to enter the kingdom of heaven, so it’s a privilege to be able to look, share and learn from our own young people.
